As a technical leader at XO Group, my responsibilities focused on leading the teams rebuilding the editorial product and services provided internally. Starting with a team of 8, I quickly absorbed a second team of 10 focused on building the site redesign delivered by building a unified UI library, as well as a new content delivery system, modeled after medium, based in Rails and primarily supported by MongoDB. Notably, I led the build and setup of the internal guild structure, fostering skill share over more than 100 product & engineering colleagues across single responsibility teams.
